Frequently Asked Questions

Your Charge Point Operator platform (CPO platform)

YesThe charge point operator platform is completely charging station manufacturer-independent and compatible with all the major manufacturers. This way, you can manage several brands of charging stations within only one platform.

We connect the charging points to a broader mobility user market by making agreements with different roaming partners. The charging point operator can benefit from the roaming agreements concluded by Optimile but is also free to conclude the agreements himself.

Based on the CPO’s business case, the remuneration for each public charging session can be defined by the operator or by the host himself.

Yes. The CPO addresses the hosts as his customers and can, therefore, completely choose which subscriptions and pricing strategy he wants to offer to them.

There are already integrations with multiple payment service providers, which enable a wide range of payment methods for the host. If necessary, we can always integrate other parties via API.

There is an automated invoicing system that monthly calculates the cost and automatically sends out the invoices.

Your eMobility Service Provider platform (eMSP platform)

We give your electric vehicle drivers access to more than 230,000 public charging points in Europe, and connect your charging devices to the eMobility community by teaming up with eMSPs and CPOs. We connect both through Peer-to-Peer OCPI connection or via hubs, such as e-clearing and Girève.

You can integrate your ERP software suite via the API library. Our API integrations keep data in sync, enhance productivity and drive revenue – ideal for admins and hosts.

Yes. We enable the possibility to brand your EV charging smartphone app. That means that the app can be tailored to your corporate identity’s look and feel: From brand logos and fonts to corporate colors. Thus, you’ll be visible with your brand at the forefront while relying, at the same time, on a skilled partner in the background.

Yes, there is. We offer a fully branded charging card that grants access to more than 230,000 public charging points all over Europe.

There is an automated invoicing system that monthly calculates the cost and automatically sends out the invoices and payments.

Our split-billing function enables employees to separate the costs of their charging transactions with the cost of household energy consumption, which in turn can be invoiced to the employer.

Yes, the eMSP can completely choose which subscriptions and pricing strategy he wants to offer to companies and individuals.

Product and marketing functions

Yes. To offer a wide range of mobility services, we are looking for partnerships in many sectors (i.e., car-sharing, bike-sharing, scooter-sharing, public bus and train operators, electric vehicle charging and parking facilitators etc.).

Yes, our software functions as a white label. That means that the app and platform can be tailored to your corporate identity’s look and feel: from brand logos and fonts to corporate colors. Thus, you’ll be visible with your brand at the forefront while relying, at the same time, on a skilled partner in the background.

Integrations

Considering the architecture and ecosystem of the client, Optimile offers several possibilities.

1) The Mobility-as-a-Service solution is offered as a SaaS platform.

2) The app is either offered as a native app or can be integrated according to your needs, as:

  • A plug-in, for an existing app environment
  • An API
  • SDK

Bike sharing

Our app gives you a clear overview of all connected stations. Go to the tab ‘bike sharing’ and click ‘locations’.

Currently, we offer the shared bikes of Blue-bike. These bikes must always be returned to the same station as where you borrowed them.

No. Every mobility user must be linked to an account.

You need to activate the code within the day after your purchase. From the moment you have activated the code, you can use the shared bike for 24 hours.

Public bus and train

De Lijn m-ticket is an online ticket that you can obtain via a mobility app such as Mobiflow. The m-ticket costs € 1.80, is valid for one hour and is automatically activated immediately after purchase.

No. Currently we offer single m-tickets and the m-card 10. In the future, we may certainly offer more services.

Your m-ticket is linked to the mobile phone number and smartphone with which you purchased the ticket. If you want to buy an m-ticket for someone else, this person must accompany you during the trip.

If your smartphone battery is empty after you board the bus or tram, the line conductor can ask for an online check.

Yes, you can buy your train ticket up to 30 days in advance.

No. Your ticket is linked to the date of birth of the main passenger. This main passenger must be present during the control.

If you cannot show your ticket to the conductor, he will draw up an irregularity report (document C170). You can dispute the amount to be paid by contacting SNCB Customer Service.

In the app you can buy the following tickets (both first and second class)
– Standard ticket – one way
– Standard ticket – outward and return
– Diabolo supplement
– Weekend ticket
– Senior ticket
– Go Pass 1
– Ticket large families

Electric vehicle charging

Electric charging means charging your vehicle at a charging station. Mobiflow puts the driving comfort of electric vehicle drivers at number 1 and has already built a large network of charging stations for this purpose.

At Optimile your driving comfort is a priority. Optimile works together with many partners to give you access to as many charging stations as possible.

On the app, you can view the charging stations either as a map or as a list. Under ‘charging’, click on ‘stations’. To switch between map and list view, click on the list or map icon in the top right corner respectively.

Having problems charging? Please check the following first.

  • Is the plug not reserved by another customer? With the app you can check the status of the plug by the colour of the icon. If the icon is orange, the plug is reserved. If there is a technical error, the icon will be red. So choose a plug with a green colour.
  • Have you chosen a free plug and charging does not work? Try inserting the plug properly (deeply) into the socket again.
  • Still unable to charge? Please check your available credit with the app.
  • If there is still enough credit in your account and the charging still does not work, you need to contact the owner of the charging station. You can find the contact details on every charging station.

The price of a public charging session depends on the operator of the charging point, who determines the basic price for a charging session. The operator or CPO communicates its rates to us, which we then show in our app. However, if the CPO does not communicate rates to us, the default rates below apply. In practice, this will not happen often. The price that you pay for a charging session can therefore differ from one charging station to another.

AC: €0.3618/kWh + €0.3618/hour

DC: €0.8349/kWh

The price that is visible in the app is also the actual price that you will pay.
