Optimile, now part of DKV Mobility Group, appoints Pieter Gheeraert as Managing Director

Ghent, Belgium,16 June 2026 – Optimile NV, Belgium’s leading e-mobility company specializing in EV charging platform management, announces the appointment of Pieter Gheeraert as Managing Director. The announcement comes six weeks after Optimile became part of the DKV Mobility Group, a milestone that significantly strengthens Optimile’s ability to serve EV charging businesses across Belgium and Europe.

Pieter Gheeraert appointed Managing Director

Building on the momentum of the DKV Mobility acquisition, Optimile now announces the appointment of Pieter Gheeraert as Managing Director together with Georg Schürholz. Pieter steps up from the role of Chief Product Officer, a position in which he has led the development of Optimile’s modular charging platform: the operational backbone that today supports e-Mobility Service Providers (eMSPs) and Charge Point Operators (CPOs) across Belgium and Europe.

Marie-Laure Clement joins as Head of Sales, Marketing & Communications

Alongside Pieter’s appointment, Marie-Laure Clement joins the leadership team as Head of Sales, Marketing & Communications. She will lead Optimile’s commercial activities, go-to-market strategy, and communications.

Background: Optimile joins the DKV Mobility Group

On May 4 2026, DKV Mobility completed the acquisition of 100% of Optimile’s shares from previous shareholders BNP Paribas Fortis and AG Insurance. The acquisition brings concrete benefits to Optimile’s customers and partners:

• Continuity: all existing contracts, service agreements, and platform integrations remain fully in effect
• Local presence preserved: Optimile remains headquartered in Ghent, with its team, brand, and operational identity intact
• Accelerated innovation: DKV Mobility’s investment in platform development enables faster delivery of new features
• Expanded roaming: enabling access to DKV Mobility’s network of around 1.2 million charge points across Europe
